The DEV monthly meeting on the fourth of July
The development team represented by Palermo University and Rawdah University College in coordination with Quds Open University, the Lead of the project, held its monthly meeting on the fourth of July 2022 with the development committee presented by each partner in the project.
The aim of this meeting was to update the Development Committee on the implemented activities and to follow up with the upcoming tasks and activities including the proposed plans for the next Zoom meeting on the 8th of August 2022 (roles and responsibilities).
These activities entailed the completion of the first training course at IPB / Braganca in Portugal, entitled “Pedagogical Supervision in Early Childhood Education” with the participation of 13 PA academic staff, and the preparation for the second training at University of Palermo in Italy on “Child development and the relationship with adults: the role of early childhood educational services from zero to six”, on the eighteenth of July 2022, and will last for 5 days. A shift on the date of the third training course at the Royal Holloway University in the UK, to the next year presumably in March 2023. The title of the training is “Child Development/Child Well-Being in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC)“. As for the fourth training, it will be conducted as planned in the third week of October 2022 and will also last for five days at the University of Crete entitled “ Literacies in Early Childhood Education “ STEAM
As for the technical trainings, PIXEL will conduct the technical training for the14 IT PA staff in Florence/Italy, in the third week of September 2022 and for the second technical training, ULS will confirm the date and the training plan soon.
The meeting also discussed the agreement that was prepared by the Ministry of Social Development and the selection criteria for the Nurseries. Regarding the Advocacy Conferences, the QOU in cooperation with all the PA partners had conducted a discussion panel on the thirteenth of June 2022; to disseminate the outputs of the diagnostic report and the benchmarks; followed by a bulletin disseminate at our “ CARE” project website.
The meeting also discussed the supporting documents required from each Participant in the training, such as the Individual Travel Report (ITR), the invoices, receipts, boarding passes, the time sheet and the tangible outputs, in addition to the Training completion Report prepared by the trainer, attendance sheet, the training material, pictures and the certificates for the trainees. This added to setting the program for the next meeting.
