Rawdah University College Inaugurates the Early Childhood Computer Laboratory” CARE” and hosts the EU Erasmus + project Delegation
On the 9th of November 2022, Rawdah University College celebrated with the partnered administrators of the EU Erasmus + project” Enhancing Early Childhood Education and Care in Palestine” the opening of the” CARE” computer laboratory, as one of the project outputs.
This laboratory aims at raising the capacity of the academic staff in developing the e- courses and encouraging students; especially the Child Education Department; to access to some extra web-based educational materials. In addition, to help the pre-service teachers to adopt the blended learning in studying the Professional diploma, that will be developed by the Palestinian partners and the support of the European partners, moreover, to implement the professional diploma to raise the capacity of the in-service care providers at the nurseries.
The partnered delegation was warmly welcomed by the president, Mr. Saleh Abedalhadi ;the project team from the College’s side and some academic and administrative staff., and be acquainted to a brief description about the history and the developmental stages of the college, and introduction about the visit program addressed by Samar Abu Shamat ;the Project director of WP2/The Development; and added that this project is very important due to the reason that it crosses the boarders between Europe and Palestine ;to establish a meaningful partnership to enhance the quality of services submitted to children in Palestine and pave the road for extra researches and cooperation to benefit the children wherever they are.
This delegation was comprised of representatives of Al- Quds Open University; the lead;Ms. Bayan Shobaki,Dr. Iyad Abu Baker.Ms.Lina Shtayah,Ms. Diana Salah ,Mr. Obadah Yaish and Mr. Ahmad Hajeer, , the Ministry of social Development/ Ms. Manal Tawfeeq, the Ministry of Education/Dr. Wafaa Ashour , the Polytechnic of Bragance/Portugal/ Dr. Luis Castanheira and Dr. Catarina Vasques,, the Royal Holloway of London/England / Dr. Anne Brunton and Al- Ummah University College/ Palestine/ Eng. Abedalmohsen Qawassmi.
Afterwards, the delegation visited the Rawdah Kindergarten and observed some activities in the classes, then to the Municipality of Nablus, where they were received by the Deputy Mayer who welcomed them and expressed his gladness for this cooperation between Palestine and Europe, and informed them about the history of the city and the importance of it as a center for Science, education and trades, in addition to its familiarity with soap and sweets, and the coexistence between all religions. Finally, a tour in the old city of Nablus and picturing some photos and enjoying a meal at a traditional hotel in the old city of Nablus.
Mr. Saleh handed the delegation members some memorial trophies in recognition of their inputs and kind contribution in the project. Same for Ms. Bayan Shobaki and Dr. Eyad Abu Baker /Quds Open University who thanked the president and A- Rawda’s team for their distinguished partnership.
