Al-Rawdah University college( RUC) as the head of Work package two in cooperation with Palermo university in the European funded Project “Enhancing Early Childhood Education and Care in Palestine “ CARE, expressed its appreciation and thankfulness for the European commission and for all Palestinian and European partners headed by Al-Quds Open University(QOU) for this rich journey of learning and co-work that lasted for about four years.
RUC consider “CARE” project as a success story in abiding to Erasmus + program’s spirit that entails Education, Partnership and Innovation The consortium of the EU & PA partners, their faith to work closely and share resources despite all challenges, frankly embodied a true partnership that crossed the borders to achieve better education and care for the children based on the best practices in Europe and the specificity of the Palestinian community.
The rector Mr. Saleh abdel Hadi, the Dean Dr. Sulaiman Kayed and Ms. Samar abu Shamat the Project Manger of WP 2 spoke in details about the main deliverables and outputs. Ms. Samar added that themes of the project were diligently achieved through building capacity for the academic and the IT staff at the PA universities, in addition to the supervisors from the Ministry of education and the supervisors from the ministry of Social Development. Developing the training manual, the two books and two vocational diplomas that were accredited both by the Accreditation and quality assurance Commission and the Ministry of Labor. In addition to developing the electronic courses and uploaded them to the Educational Platform, and implemented the training. Also, developing 5 action Plan for the Strategic Plan for Early Childhood and intervention ECD. Moreover, the Community Awareness campaigns towards the most- cutting edge issues in Childhood. In addition to developing the manual for licensing the Nurseries and the guidelines for licensing the Private Pre- school, and developing researches and holding the final ceremony and scientific conference. Also Ms. Manal Dweakat expressed her pleasure to participate in the training and the gained knowledge and skills were positively reflected in her teaching process.
